📌🥺 Families who lost everything — but not their hope.
Each kit is our answer to the question: “Does anyone remember us?” Yes, we do:

📌Через постійну загрозу обстрілів та близькість до лінії бойових дій ситуація в селищі залишається критичною.
📌Станом на кінець 2025 року понад тисячу мешканців були змушені покинути свої домівки.
📌На початку лютого 2026 року українські військові повністю зачистили населений пункт після спроби диверсійної групи використати його для пропаганди.

Today, these families are in Zaporizhzhia.
🤲🏻💛📦 The GEM HGBF team provided family food kits and children’s gifts to internally displaced families from the frontline village .
📌 Due to the constant threat of shelling and its proximity to the frontline, the situation in the settlement remains critical.
📌 By the end of 2025, more than a thousand residents had been forced to leave their homes.
📌 In early February 2026, Ukrainian forces fully cleared the settlement after a sabotage group attempted to use it for propaganda.

📍🤲🏻📦З любов’ю та турботою доставили сімейні набори GEM HGBF до міста Златопіль, Харківської області.
📌 Через постійні обстріли Лозівського району, Златопіль часто стикається з проблемами в роботі енергосистеми та пошкодженням промислових об’єктів. Місцева влада та енергетики працюють над відновленням послуг, проте загроза повторних ракетних ударів та атак дронами залишається високою.
Нагадаємо, липень 2025 року: Атака двома БПЛА типу «Герань-2» призвела до загибелі жінки; серед поранених була її 13-річна донька. Загальна кількість постраждалих від цього удару сягнула 10 осіб.

📍🤲🏻📦 With care and compassion, we delivered GEM HGBF family kits to the city of Zlatopil, Kharkiv region.
📌 Due to constant shelling in the Lozova district, Zlatopil often faces disruptions in the energy system and damage to industrial facilities. Local authorities and energy workers continue working to restore services, but the threat of repeated missile strikes and drone attacks remains high.
A reminder of July 2025: an attack by two “Geran-2” UAVs resulted in the death of a woman; among the injured was her 13-year-old daughter. In total, 10 people were wounded in that strike.

📍🚚📦Кожна посмішка у селищі Михайло Коцюбинське, Чернігівської області - це маленька перемога над війною. Цього тижня ми привезли допомогу туди, де її дуже чекають та потребують. ❤️🤲🏻📦
📌 Перебувало під російською окупацією протягом 35 днів на початку повномасштабного вторгнення (з кінця лютого до початку квітня 2022 року). Місцеві жителі, попри ризик, передавали координати ворожої техніки Збройним силам України.

📍🚚📦 Every smile in the village of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske, Chernihiv region is a small victory over the war. This week we brought help to a place where it is truly awaited and needed. ❤️🤲🏻📦
📌 The settlement was under russian occupation for 35 days at the beginning of the full-scale invasion (from late February to early April 2022). Despite the risks, local residents passed the coordinates of enemy equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🚚🤲🏻📦Доставлення гуманітарної допомоги GEM HGBF у Миколаївську селищну громаду, Сумської області.
📌 Миколаївська селищна громада, як і вся Сумщина, регулярно перебуває під вогнем російських окупантів. Ситуація залишається напруженою через постійні атаки з використанням БпЛА, артилерії та мінометів.

📌 The Mykolaivka community, like the entire Sumy region, regularly comes under fire from Russian forces. The situation remains tense due to constant attacks using UAVs, artillery, and mortars.

📌У черзі за допомогою стояла жінка з пакетом у руках. Вона сказала тихо:
«Ми чуємо вибухи майже щодня… але дім залишити важче, ніж страх».
🇺🇦📍У селищах Іверське та Спасько-Михайлівка, Краматорського району, Донецької області люди живуть поруч із війною. Місцева адміністрація регулярно закликає мешканців евакуюватися, особливо родини з дітьми. Та поки вони тут — вони потребують підтримки.

📌 In the line for aid stood a woman holding a small bag. She said quietly:
“We hear explosions almost every day… but leaving home is harder than the fear.”
🇺🇦📍 In the villages of Iverske and Spasko-Mykhailivka, in the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region, people live side by side with the war. Local authorities regularly call on residents to evacuate, especially families with children. But while they remain here — they need support.

Phase 1: Immeditate Disaster Relief
Since the beginning of the crisis, Global Empowerment Mission has established solutions, partnerships, and strategies to recognize and assist all those affected. Not only in Ukraine, but assistance has spread to those displaced across Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, Georgia, and beyond. GEM has continued adapting our responses to meet the evolving needs on the ground, providing continued large-scale humanitarian aid support.
Aid Distributions throughout the region
In March 2022, GEM activated partnerships with professional military NGO’s, such as Aerial Recovery Group, to be able to deliver aid inside Ukraine. During this period, getting aid inside Ukraine required highly advanced tactics and methods. Since then, GEM has implemented our own major infrastructure in-country. GEM has it’s own warehousing, trucking, logistics methods, production, and so on. To date, GEM has delivered thousands of trucks of aid throughout the region, with an emphasis on front line communities in the most at-risk oblasts. Hundreds of trucks are delivered monthly to these residents. Our aid distributions have adapted and scaled since March 2022; needs are routinely assessed to ensure that our Family Necessity Kits contain the most needed supplies.
Phase 2: The Gap Period
Due to the unique circumstances in Ukraine, it’s critical that aid continues to flow to the millions of in country displaced persons who are currently moving around from city to city to avoid bombings. This is called the gap period.
Smart Classes
Smart Classes are an education initiative to provide displaced children with classrooms and resources to continue their schooling. In partnership with SmartAid, classes have been established in Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine. Every classroom is equipped with all the technology needed for students to maintain their learning, while following the Ukrainian Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
Government Partnership
Since May 2022, GEM has established long-term memorandums of understanding with many regional governors and mayors throughout Ukraine. Within these agreements, GEM commits to supplying these regional government hubs with aid and winterization supplies. Government partnerships are in place with Bucha, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kviv regions.
Supporting newly liberated towns and cities
Recently many areas of Ukraine have been successfully liberated. Some of these villages, cities, and regions had been occupied for months on end, where access to proper resources were unavailable. Those in these regions have not seen outside assistance this entire time, and were at direct risk during the occupation period. Our GEM Ukraine team works closely with local government, partners, and intel to bring aid into these recently liberated areas within days, such as Kherson, Donetsk, Iziym, Avdiivka, and many more. Again, these individuals have not had any outside aid or assistance and this is the first relief they have had in months.
Winterization
With average temperatures of below 0 Celsius, the winter seasons in Ukraine have been a major concern for residents since the onset of the crisis, due to lack of electricity, secure housing, and other safety concerns. GEM has planned annually for the season, supplying these life-saving resources in the fall. This includes warm blankets and bedding, generators, small space heaters, fire starter kits, reliable clothing and accessories, and more. Additionally, our rebuilding efforts have been increasingly necessary during these times. Repairing broken windows and heating units before temperatures fall and weather changes, has been paramount to keeping Ukrainian residents safe and warm during the coldest months.
Invincibility
The Ukraine government & President’s office has created thousands of ‘Invincibility Points’ throughout the country, offering a space where locals can come get hot meals, access to device chargers, a warm space, supplies, and community support. GEM is presently supporting over 200 of these points, providing self-heating warm meals, blankets, generators, and other area-specific supplies. As more of these points are established, we will be able to assist many more locals routinely throughout Ukraine.
Phase 3: Sustainable Development
GEM, in partnership with Life Quality, has activated its Phase 3 rebuild programs in response to an overwhelming desire for Ukrainians to return back home to a sense a normalcy and hope for the future.
Vital Repairs
Our work in Ukraine has gone beyond humanitarian aid deliveries and immediate relief. Through our rebuilding efforts, GEM has successfully repaired and restored hundreds of structures. From medical centres and schools to homes and entire neighbourhoods, we have been committed to helping Ukrainian civilians restore normalcy in their communities. This has helped thousands of people return to safe housing, resume their education and learning, have access to healthcare and resources, and has overall supported revivals of local economies. Every repair project is carefully executed in lower risk areas, supported by thorough risk assessment measures, which ensures safety and long-term impact.
Front Line Support
In partnership with The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, major distributions have been able to occur along the active front lines in the most needed regions. Deliveries of Family Necessity Kits and critical supplies happen consistently, no matter the weather, terrain, or distance. Monthly, GEM sends hundreds of trucks to these areas.
Windows Program
Alongside the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, GEM has been actively working to repair thousands of windows that were destroyed due to the attacks. The windows are produced in-country, which supported these manufacturing facilities to have work during an uncertain time. By preforming these window repairs, thousands of families have been able to benefit by being able to stay in the comfort of their own home, without having to become displaced due to the freezing temperatures or discomfort.
Seed Program
GEM works all throughout Ukraine & it’s active front lines delivering a variety of different seeds to local farmers and landowners. This program has allowed for people to have access to fresh produce that they may not have been able to because of the active crisis. It also allows for people to gain income through selling the produce, therefore supporting themselves even further. To date, this program has distributed over 115 million seeds and has significantly made a difference in front line communities.
