Де сім’я — це те, що тримає. А місія GEM HGBF — це те, що підтримує.
📌 Місяцями під ударами авіабомб виживає Краснопільська громада. Кордон, росіяни щодня скидають на прикордонне селище десятки авіабомб, атакують дронами й артилерією.
Розбиті будівлі селищної ради, ліцею, лікарні, «Укртелеком» та Центр дитячої творчості. Під ворожими ударами також приватні будинки. Також триває евакуація населення.

📌 For months, the Krasnopillia community has been surviving under airstrikes.
Being near the border, the village is bombarded daily by dozens of aerial bombs dropped by Russian forces, as well as drone and artillery attacks.
The local council building, high school, hospital, Ukrtelecom office, and the Center for Children’s Creativity have been damaged. Residential homes are also under attack. Evacuation of the population continues.
💔 In the midst of it all, we stand by the people — bringing relief, hope, and humanity.

Fase 1: Katastrofehjælp
Vi etablerede løsninger, partnerskaber og strategier for at anerkende og hjælpe alle de berørte, ikke kun i Ukraine, men også de fordrevne i Polen, Ungarn, Rumænien, Slovakiet, Moldova, Georgien og andre steder.
Uddeling af bistand i hele regionen
In March 2022, GEM activated its partnership with professional military NGOs such as Arial Recovery Group and many others. During this period, getting aid inside Ukraine required highly advanced tactics and methods. Since then, GEM has now established partnerships with over 150 vetted Ukrainian and European NGOs. To date, we have sent over 1,744 trucks into the region spanning 983 towns and cities. GEM currently delivers over 200 truckloads of aid to the front-line communities every month, supporting hundreds of thousands of people.
Fase 2: Gap-perioden
På grund af de unikke omstændigheder i Ukraine er det afgørende, at hjælpen fortsat strømmer til de millioner af internt fordrevne personer, der i øjeblikket flytter rundt fra by til by for at undgå bombardementer. Dette kaldes den såkaldte "gap-periode".
Smarte klasser
Smart Classes er et uddannelsesinitiativ, der giver fordrevne børn klasseværelser og ressourcer til at fortsætte deres skolegang. I samarbejde med SmartAid er der etableret klasser i Polen, Rumænien, Moldova og Ukraine. Hvert klasseværelse er udstyret med al den teknologi, der er nødvendig for, at eleverne kan opretholde deres læring, samtidig med at de følger det ukrainske undervisningsministeriums læseplan.
Regeringspartnerskab
Since May 2022, GEM has established long-term memorandums of understanding with many regional governors and mayors throughout Ukraine. Within these agreements, GEM commits to supplying these regional government hubs with aid and winterization supplies. Government partnerships are in place with Bucha, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kviv regions.
Støtte til nyligt befriede byer og bygder
Recently many areas of Ukraine have been successfully liberated. Some of these villages, cities, and regions had been occupied for months on end, where access to proper resources were unavailable. Those in these regions have not seen outside assistance this entire time, and were at direct risk during the occupation period. Our GEM Ukraine team works closely with local government, partners, and intel to bring aid into these recently liberated areas within days, such as Kherson, Donetsk, Iziym, Avdiivka, and many more. Again, these individuals have not had any outside aid or assistance and this is the first relief they have had in months.

Med gennemsnitstemperaturer på under 0 °C har den forestående vinter været et problem i de sidste par måneder. GEM har været i stand til at planlægge i overensstemmelse hermed for dette kolde vejr og har leveret livreddende hjælp på forhånd. Dette omfatter tusindvis af varme tæpper og sengetøj, generatorer, små rumvarmere, ildstarterpakker og meget mere. Derudover var vores genopbygningsindsats ekstra nødvendig for hurtigt at reparere ødelagte vinduer og varmeenheder, inden temperaturen faldt og regn og sne faldt.
Uovervindelighed
Ukraines regering og præsidentens kontor har oprettet tusindvis af "Invincibility Points" i hele landet, hvor de lokale kan få varme måltider, adgang til opladere til enheder, et varmt rum, forsyninger og støtte fra lokalsamfundet. GEM støtter i øjeblikket over 200 af disse punkter og leverer selvopvarmende varme måltider, tæpper, generatorer og andre områdespecifikke forsyninger. Efterhånden som der oprettes flere af disse steder, vil vi kunne hjælpe mange flere lokale borgere rutinemæssigt i hele Ukraine.
Fase 3: Bæredygtig udvikling
GEM har i samarbejde med Life Quality aktiveret sine genopbygningsprogrammer i fase 3 som svar på et overvældende ønske fra ukrainerne om at vende hjem til en følelse af normalitet og håb for fremtiden.
Vigtige reparationer
Disse reparationer omfatter bl.a. at forsyne lokalsamfundene med forsyninger, indtil de igen er fuldt funktionsdygtige. I denne fase har vi forpligtet os til at genopbygge og udføre lettere reparationsarbejde på hundredvis af boliger, lejlighedsbygninger, skoler, lægecentre og meget mere. Disse projekter har gjort det muligt for hundredvis af mennesker at vende tilbage til deres hjem, tusindvis af studerende at vende tilbage til skolen og for den lokale økonomi at blive genopfrisket. Alt genopbygningsarbejde udføres i områder med lav risiko, hvor der er truffet kritiske risikovurderingsforanstaltninger.
Støtte i første linje
In partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, major distributions along the active front lines have been taking place in the most needed areas. These communities are the hardest to reach and can be without support for months on end. We have been able to supply dozens of villages with Family Necessity Kits, generators, blankets, and more. We have been able to supply hundreds of these communities with Family Necessity Kits, generators, blankets, mattresses, and more. We are presently sending over 200 trucks per month to these regions.
Windows Program
Alongside the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, GEM has been actively working to repair thousands of windows that were destroyed due to the attacks. The windows are produced in-country, which supported these manufacturing facilities to have work during an uncertain time. By preforming these window repairs, thousands of families have been able to benefit by being able to stay in the comfort of their own home, without having to become displaced due to the freezing temperatures or discomfort.
