Philippines Earthquake

Phase 1: Immediate Response

On September 30th, the Philippines was struck by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. It was the strongest quake ever recorded in Northern Cebu, and was followed by thousands of smaller aftershocks. Seventy five people lost their lives, and hundreds of homes have been destroyed. It is estimated that over 110,000 residents are in need of assistance to restore their livelihoods.

In partnership with GEM, Aerial Recovery Group has deployed their Special Operations Advanced Reconnaissance Team to Cebu. In collaboration with local governments, Aerial is on the ground distributing life saving critical aid, provided by GEM, to all those affected in the region.

Venezuela Earthquakes

Venezuela
On the evening of June 24th, back-to-back earthquakes struck Venezuela, with a 7.1 magnitude quake followed roughly a minute later by an even stronger 7.5 magnitude quake, centered just west of the capital. Buildings have collapsed across Caracas, where rescue crews are searching for survivors.
