Phase 1:

Disaster Relief

Global Empowerment Mission in partnership with Bethel World Outreach responded in the first phase, disasterrelief, by assisting low income families in North Nashville.

  • The organization shipped supplies from its Miami headquarters to help families who were hit by 10 tornadoes with winds of up to 175 mph winds.
  • Supplies range from hand sanitizers to basic hygiene, medical, pet food, water and snacks.

Phase 2

The Gap Period​

Global Empowerment Mission in partnership with BStrong responded in the second phase, the gap period, by distributing BStrong gift cards to 200 families whose homes were destroyed.

Venezuela Earthquakes

Venezuela
On the evening of June 24th, back-to-back earthquakes struck Venezuela, with a 7.1 magnitude quake followed roughly a minute later by an even stronger 7.5 magnitude quake, centered just west of the capital. Buildings have collapsed across Caracas, where rescue crews are searching for survivors.

Early June 8th, The Philippines most populous island of Mindanao was struck by a 7.8 magnitude quake. Immediately, infrastructure was severely damaged and tsunami warnings were put in place for the region.
