Disaster Relief

Global Empowerment Mission in partnership with BStrong responded in the first phase, disaster relief, by distributing generators to the elderly on dialysis machines.

  • The organization partnered with the Puerto Rico on ground partner, Yo No Me Quito, and was on ground within 48 hours of the January 7, 2020 earthquake.

Phase 2

The Gap Period​

Global Empowerment Mission in partnership with BStrong responded in the second phase, the gap period, by distributing $20,000 BStrong gift cards directly to earthquake survivors in shelters in the towns of Ponce, Yauco, Guanayilla, Guanica and Peñuelas.
