Amber Barbach

As founder and director of the Glioblastoma Research Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization raising awareness and funds for new global, cutting-edge research to find a cure for glioblastoma, an aggressive and treatment-resistant form of brain cancer, Amber oversees administration, investment management and charitable research funding and brand partnerships for the organization. She monitors and leads the design of the overall project funding strategies and policies emphasizing the needs of glioblastoma brain tumor research. Amber has a very personal interest in her philanthropic work. She became involved in the brain tumor community when her father, Lee Barbach, a Miami-based chiropractor, lost his battle with glioblastoma brain cancer in 2018.

A brand partnerships and event marketing professional, Amber leverages nearly a decade of marketing experience to help brainstorm thoughtful content with the help of her medical advisory board and content marketing team to raise awareness and connect members of the glioblastoma community on social media. Along with directing the Glioblastoma Research Organization, Amber has managed the event planning and production of events including Harper’s Bazaar ICONS, Ultra Music Festival and Super Saturday Night 2020 through her event design company, Amber INC. Amber previously worked at David Stark Design and Production as an event producer where she worked on large-scale projects including: the UNICEF Snowflake Ball 2019, the Robinhood Investors Conference Gala and the PopSugar Snow Chalet at Bryant Park.

Amber has dedicated her time in support of the Global Empowerment Mission’s (GEM) disaster relief initiatives since 2018. In response to the Surfside condo collapse on June 24, 2021, Amber joined volunteers in sorting through supplies for Champlain Towers survivors at GEM’s Doral warehouse. Furthermore, she used her experience in event planning to organize two local events that raised over $275,000 benefitting GEM’s Surfside Collapse mission as well as the nonprofit’s Ukraine Crisis initiative, supplying essential aid and housing for Ukraine refugees. As of April 2022, Amber assumed the role of event chair for the nonprofit.
