Phase 1: Immediate Response

GEM Europe, in partnership with Goya Spain, responded to the deadly flooding in Valencia, Spain, that took place in November 2024. The floods had claimed the lives of hundreds and caused severe destruction around the region. Already recorded as Spain’s worst disaster in the last 3 decades, the flash flooding ruined buildings, roads, bridges, homes, and other critical infrastructure. The GEM Europe team was on the ground in Valencia offering aid, supplied by Goya Spain, to all those affected. Distributions took place out of Alaquas, Aldaia, Massanassa, Paiporta districts, and Chiva town.

This branch supports 27 EU countries.
