Teddy Cohen is a high school senior at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He is the President of Turning Point USA at Lawrenceville, Senior Managing Editor of the publication Civil Discourse, and also acts as Co-President of Young Republicans and Leadership in Ethics and Policy. Teddy recently launched a new media outlet titled Behind The Headlines (behindheadlines.org) that focuses on researching bias in news headlines. He is the Founder, Managing Director, and Editor-in-Chief of the publication. Teddy has been involved in groups pushing Lawrenceville to adopt the University of Chicago Principles for free speech, as well as to invite more conservative school speakers to Lawrenceville. Last summer, Teddy interned for Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01) on Capitol Hill. Following the tragic Camp Fire (2018) in California, Teddy partook in a trip with GEM to interview those affected by the disaster. These interviews determined how GEM might be able to assist those in need. He also helped workers purchase tools that they lost in the fires. Teddy is looking forward to working with GEM in the future and is a strong youth advocate for the group.
