Florida Panhandle Tornadoes

Phase 1: Immediate Response

Early January 2024 tornadoes tore through the Florida Panhandle, causing extensive damage to homes, boats, and businesses in many communities. The GEM team deployed from their Miami HQ with a truck of aid to assist those who were affected. Our team was on the ground collaborating with local authorities to reach the most impacted areas.

Venezuela Earthquakes

Venezuela
On the evening of June 24th, back-to-back earthquakes struck Venezuela, with a 7.1 magnitude quake followed roughly a minute later by an even stronger 7.5 magnitude quake, centered just west of the capital. Buildings have collapsed across Caracas, where rescue crews are searching for survivors.

Philippines Earthquake 2026

Philippines
Early June 8th, The Philippines most populous island of Mindanao was struck by a 7.8 magnitude quake. Immediately, infrastructure was severely damaged and tsunami warnings were put in place for the region.

Lebanon Crisis

Lebanon
The GEM MENA team, alongside our partners HCI & ONSUR, is presently on the ground in Tyre (Soor), Lebanon supporting displaced families and individuals. The ongoing conflict and crisis in Lebanon has left roughly 80% of the population in poverty.
