🤲🏻 💦 ❤️Минулого тижня наші руки тримали пляшки з питною водою. Але здається, ми тримали щось важливіше. Ми тримали життя.
Вода — для селища Правдине, Херсонської області. Від нас, Глобальної Місії Розширення Прав та Можливостей та Фонду Говарда Баффетта. Від усього світу, який дбає.
📌Селище зазнало значних руйнувань внаслідок російської окупації та бойових дій під час війни. Воно знаходилось на лінії зіткнення між ЗСУ та російськими військами. Російські війська окупували село в перші тижні вторгнення і залишили його лише на початку листопада 2022 року.
Під час окупації село зазнало значних руйнувань, також, були зафіксовані випадки розстрілів мирних жителів та підрив будинку з тілами загиблих, щоб приховати злочин.

But it felt like we were holding something greater. We were holding life.
Drinking water — for the village of Pravdyne, Kherson region.
From us, the Global Empowerment Mission and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
From the world that still cares.
📌Pravdyne suffered devastating destruction during the war. The village was located on the front line between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops. It was occupied by Russian forces in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion and liberated only in early November 2022.
During the occupation, Pravdyne witnessed severe damage, executions of civilians, and even the demolition of a house with the bodies inside — a cruel attempt to cover up war crimes.
And yet — life remains. And we are here to honor it.

Phase 1 : Secours aux sinistrés
Nous avons établi des solutions, des partenariats et des stratégies pour reconnaître et aider toutes les personnes touchées, non seulement en Ukraine, mais aussi celles déplacées en Pologne, en Hongrie, en Roumanie, en Slovaquie, en Moldavie, en Géorgie et au-delà.
Distributions d'aide dans toute la région
In March 2022, GEM activated its partnership with professional military NGOs such as Arial Recovery Group and many others. During this period, getting aid inside Ukraine required highly advanced tactics and methods. Since then, GEM has now established partnerships with over 150 vetted Ukrainian and European NGOs. To date, we have sent over 1,744 trucks into the region spanning 983 towns and cities. GEM currently delivers over 200 truckloads of aid to the front-line communities every month, supporting hundreds of thousands of people.
Phase 2 : La période de transition

Classes intelligentes
Les classes intelligentes sont une initiative éducative visant à fournir aux enfants déplacés des salles de classe et des ressources pour poursuivre leur scolarité. En partenariat avec SmartAid, des classes ont été créées en Pologne, en Roumanie, en Moldavie et en Ukraine. Chaque salle de classe est équipée de toutes les technologies nécessaires pour que les élèves puissent poursuivre leur apprentissage, tout en suivant le programme du ministère ukrainien de l'éducation.
Partenariat avec le gouvernement
Since May 2022, GEM has established long-term memorandums of understanding with many regional governors and mayors throughout Ukraine. Within these agreements, GEM commits to supplying these regional government hubs with aid and winterization supplies. Government partnerships are in place with Bucha, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kviv regions.
Soutien aux villes nouvellement libérées
Recently many areas of Ukraine have been successfully liberated. Some of these villages, cities, and regions had been occupied for months on end, where access to proper resources were unavailable. Those in these regions have not seen outside assistance this entire time, and were at direct risk during the occupation period. Our GEM Ukraine team works closely with local government, partners, and intel to bring aid into these recently liberated areas within days, such as Kherson, Donetsk, Iziym, Avdiivka, and many more. Again, these individuals have not had any outside aid or assistance and this is the first relief they have had in months.

Invincibilité

Phase 3 : Développement durable
Le GEM, en partenariat avec Life Quality, a activé la phase 3 de ses programmes de reconstruction en réponse à l'immense désir des Ukrainiens de rentrer chez eux et de retrouver un sentiment de normalité et d'espoir pour l'avenir.
Réparations vitales
Ces réparations comprennent l'approvisionnement des communautés en produits de subsistance jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient entièrement remises en état de marche. Au cours de cette phase, nous nous sommes engagés à reconstruire et à effectuer des réparations légères sur des centaines de maisons, d'immeubles d'habitation, d'écoles, de centres médicaux, etc. Ces projets ont permis à des centaines de personnes de rentrer chez elles, à des milliers d'étudiants de retourner à l'école et à l'économie locale d'être relancée. Tous les travaux de reconstruction sont effectués dans des zones à faible risque où des mesures d'évaluation des risques critiques ont été prises.

These communities are the hardest to reach and can be without support for months on end. We have been able to supply dozens of villages with Family Necessity Kits, generators, blankets, and more. Windows Program
Alongside the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, GEM has been actively working to repair thousands of windows that were destroyed due to the attacks. The windows are produced in-country, which supported these manufacturing facilities to have work during an uncertain time. By preforming these window repairs, thousands of families have been able to benefit by being able to stay in the comfort of their own home, without having to become displaced due to the freezing temperatures or discomfort.
