GEM BSTRONG'S PLASTIC & ALUMINUM BUY BACK PROGRAM WITH 4 OCEAN

It's simple, Bahamians are paid $5 for every 85 gallon bag they bring when they pick up aid at our various distribution centers. #bstrong GEM launched its first Plastic and Aluminum Buy Back Program in North Abaco. This initiative is in partnership with the world’s leading Plastic Recovery org. 4 Ocean. GEM’s mission is to help Empower communities to create more self reliant projects. 4 Ocean's mission is to clean the ocean, and keep plastic from ending up in the ocean. Together we will work toward reducing the single-use plastic footprint in the Bahamas and create an incentive.

While we facilitate the disaster relief efforts, we are simultaneously reducing the amount of single use plastic left behind through the buyback program.
