GEM покликана надавати негайну допомогу регіонам, що постраждали від стихійних лих. Коли трапляється стихійне лихо, ми мобілізуємо наші заздалегідь підготовлені ресурси і протягом 48 годин прибуваємо на місце події, щоб допомогти постраждалим. Наша діяльність у сфері ліквідації наслідків стихійних лих складається з двох етапів: негайного реагування та довгострокової допомоги. На першому етапі GEM працює над тим, щоб доставити масштабну гуманітарну допомогу та товари тим, хто не має ресурсів. Ця допомога варіюється залежно від різних катастроф, але зазвичай надається у вигляді продуктів харчування, води, засобів гігієни та тимчасового притулку. У міру того, як реагування переходить у наступну фазу довгострокової допомоги, GEM працюватиме на місцях, допомагаючи з відновлювальними матеріалами, товарами для дому, миючими та будівельними матеріалами тощо. Усі ці зусилля докладаються у співпраці з місцевими партнерами, органами влади та місцевими жителями, щоб якнайкраще стабілізувати та відродити громаду.
