Our GEM MENA teams have been working diligently to support civilian families and children inside Gaza. These images showcase a special children’s recreational day and aid distribution organized by GEM & our partners @hcicanada. These children are all orphans from the war.
In the midst of hardship and uncertainty, programs like these bring much more than supplies, they bring hope. For children living through unimaginable circumstances, the chance to play, laugh, and know that people across the world care for them is vital to their spirit and resilience.
Every act of kindness, every shared meal, every joyful moment is a reminder that humanity can shine even in the darkest of times. Together, with our partners and supporters, we will continue to deliver not just aid, but dignity and light to those who need it most.

GEM MENA team, together with the @hcicanada youth ambassador @renadfromgaza, distributed hundreds of hygiene kits to families within the tent villages of Deir al-Balah in Gaza.
The families were extremely grateful for this aid and were truly shocked at the quality of the products. They told us that a lot of these items have not been seen in the markets since before the war.

GEM teams deployed out to another Tekeia (field kitchen) in Gaza to distribute flour and beans.
This kitchen cooks meals for over 2000 people in the surrounding tent community. People very happy to see the team arrive with fresh supply as their store was almost empty.

Fase 1: Soccorso in caso di catastrofe
Il 6 febbraio, due forti terremoti hanno colpito la Turchia e la Siria nelle prime ore del mattino, con scosse di assestamento che si verificano ancora a distanza di oltre una settimana. Decine di migliaia di persone hanno perso la vita e innumerevoli altre sono rimaste ferite. A giugno 2023, è stato confermato che oltre 8 milioni di case ed edifici sono stati colpiti, con centinaia di migliaia di sfollati. Il terremoto di Kahramanmaras è ora considerato il disastro naturale più mortale almeno dell'ultimo decennio. Grazie alla capacità di GEM di rispondere a qualsiasi disastro globale, il nostro team è stato in grado di intervenire immediatamente e di essere sul posto il giorno stesso.
GEM BStrong ha assunto un impegno iniziale di 10.000.000 di dollari in aiuti critici, che sono rapidamente aumentati a 20.000.000 di dollari una volta constatata la portata incommensurabile del disastro. Siamo stati immediatamente in grado di inviare aerei da carico grazie a una partnership con l'Ambasciata turca a Washington D.C. e il Consolato generale di Miami attraverso la Turkish Airlines. Gli aiuti arriveranno sotto forma di cibo, prodotti per l'igiene, lenzuola e tende, abbigliamento di soccorso e altro ancora. Man mano che le esigenze crescono e progrediscono, crescerà anche la nostra risposta.
La nostra sede centrale a Miami, FL, la filiale USA West a Chico, CA, e la filiale europea a Varsavia, Polonia stanno raccogliendo materiale da inviare in Turchia e Siria. Tutti i beni raccolti saranno trasportati al nostro magazzino di Mersin, in Turchia, e distribuiti nelle regioni più colpite dalle zone terremotate.
Since February, we have distributed tens of thousands of our Family Necessity Kits to affected families in both Turkey and Syria. We have also been able to distribute major quantities of hygiene products, new clothing, new shoes, bedding and home goods. We have reached hundreds of thousands of individuals in 7 provinces, reaching almost 200 cities. Just as we do in our other branches, we have established long-standing infrastructure to be able to sustain both Turkey and Syria for the long term.
