📦💧As part of this mission, 1,440 food kits and 2,808 five-liter bottles of drinking water were distributed to local residents affected by the hostilities.
❤️🫂🙏🏻This aid is part of our ongoing efforts to support communities that have suffered destruction and loss due to the war.
We urge the international community not to stand aside and to join us in providing assistance to those who need it most.

Fase 1: Soccorso in caso di catastrofe
Abbiamo stabilito soluzioni, partnership e strategie per riconoscere e assistere tutte le persone colpite, non solo in Ucraina, ma anche quelle sfollate in Polonia, Ungheria, Romania, Slovacchia, Moldavia, Georgia e oltre.
Distribuzioni di aiuti in tutta la regione
In March 2022, GEM activated its partnership with professional military NGOs such as Arial Recovery Group and many others. During this period, getting aid inside Ukraine required highly advanced tactics and methods. Since then, GEM has now established partnerships with over 150 vetted Ukrainian and European NGOs. To date, we have sent over 1,744 trucks into the region spanning 983 towns and cities. GEM currently delivers over 200 truckloads of aid to the front-line communities every month, supporting hundreds of thousands of people.
Fase 2: il periodo di transizione
A causa delle circostanze uniche in cui versa l'Ucraina, è fondamentale che gli aiuti continuino ad affluire ai milioni di sfollati del Paese che attualmente si spostano da una città all'altra per evitare i bombardamenti. Questo è il cosiddetto periodo di vuoto.
Classi intelligenti
Le Smart Classes sono un'iniziativa educativa volta a fornire ai bambini sfollati aule e risorse per continuare la loro istruzione. In collaborazione con SmartAid, sono state create classi in Polonia, Romania, Moldavia e Ucraina. Ogni classe è dotata di tutta la tecnologia necessaria per consentire agli studenti di continuare a studiare, seguendo il programma di studi del Ministero dell'Istruzione ucraino.
Partenariato con il governo
Since May 2022, GEM has established long-term memorandums of understanding with many regional governors and mayors throughout Ukraine. Within these agreements, GEM commits to supplying these regional government hubs with aid and winterization supplies. Government partnerships are in place with Bucha, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kviv regions.
Sostenere le città appena liberate
Recently many areas of Ukraine have been successfully liberated. Some of these villages, cities, and regions had been occupied for months on end, where access to proper resources were unavailable. Those in these regions have not seen outside assistance this entire time, and were at direct risk during the occupation period. Our GEM Ukraine team works closely with local government, partners, and intel to bring aid into these recently liberated areas within days, such as Kherson, Donetsk, Iziym, Avdiivka, and many more. Again, these individuals have not had any outside aid or assistance and this is the first relief they have had in months.
Svernamento
Con temperature medie inferiori a 0 gradi centigradi, l'avvicinarsi dell'inverno è stata una preoccupazione negli ultimi mesi. GEM ha potuto pianificare di conseguenza questo freddo e ha fornito in anticipo aiuti salvavita. Tra questi, migliaia di coperte e lenzuola calde, generatori, piccole stufe, kit per accendere il fuoco e altro ancora. Inoltre, i nostri sforzi di ricostruzione sono stati estremamente necessari per riparare rapidamente le finestre e le unità di riscaldamento rotte prima che le temperature scendessero e cadessero pioggia e neve.
Invincibilità
Il governo e l'ufficio del Presidente dell'Ucraina hanno creato migliaia di "Punti di Invincibilità" in tutto il Paese, offrendo uno spazio dove la gente del posto può ricevere pasti caldi, accesso a caricabatterie per dispositivi, uno spazio caldo, rifornimenti e sostegno alla comunità. Attualmente GEM sostiene oltre 200 di questi punti, fornendo pasti caldi auto-riscaldati, coperte, generatori e altre forniture specifiche per la zona. Con l'istituzione di altri punti, saremo in grado di assistere molti altri locali in tutta l'Ucraina.
Fase 3: Sviluppo sostenibile
GEM, in collaborazione con Life Quality, ha attivato i programmi di ricostruzione della Fase 3 in risposta al desiderio dei cittadini ucraini di tornare a casa con un senso di normalità e speranza per il futuro.

Supporto in prima linea
In partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, major distributions along the active front lines have been taking place in the most needed areas. These communities are the hardest to reach and can be without support for months on end. We have been able to supply dozens of villages with Family Necessity Kits, generators, blankets, and more. We have been able to supply hundreds of these communities with Family Necessity Kits, generators, blankets, mattresses, and more. We are presently sending over 200 trucks per month to these regions.
Windows Program
Alongside the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, GEM has been actively working to repair thousands of windows that were destroyed due to the attacks. The windows are produced in-country, which supported these manufacturing facilities to have work during an uncertain time. By preforming these window repairs, thousands of families have been able to benefit by being able to stay in the comfort of their own home, without having to become displaced due to the freezing temperatures or discomfort.
