Our GEM Europe team has been working for a week now and so far we have managed to deliver aid to residents of Alaquas, Aldaia, Paiporta, Massanassa, Alfafar and Chiva. Today we reached Picanya district. Thank you @goyaeuropa @goyacares @goyafoods

In many places, mostly located in the southern outskirts of the city of Valencia, people still face shortages of basic goods. Water is back to running through pipes but authorities say it is only for cleaning and not fit for drinking. Our team continues to operate on the ground and has delivered humanitarian aid to Paiporta, the epicenter of the tragedy.

Our GEM Europe teams arrived in Valencia, Spain within 24 hours of the historical floods.

Today, our first truck of aid arrived thanks to our partners @goyaeuropa . We’ve established a temporary short term hub at the Iglesia Evangélica Bautista in Puerto Sagunto.

In the coming days our teams and local volunteers will be distributing supplies in Alaquas, Aldaia, Torrent, Picanya, Albal and Montroy districts.

Storm Boris has caused significant flooding across Europe in the past few days. In regions such as Czechia & Poland, this has been the worst disaster in decades. The storm has already taken many lives and has forced thousands of people from their houses.

Iceland Earthquakes & Volcanoes

On November 16th, the GEM Europe team arrived in Iceland to support evacuees, and in anticipation for future volcanic activity. Since late October, Iceland has recorded over 20,000 earthquakes, with as many as 800 in a single day.

Greek Fires

In July 2023, our GEM Europe team deployed to Greece, responding to the 90 active fires within the country. In coordination with local and foreign first responders, we worked to reach the most affected communities and distribute supplies.
