Just yesterday the road into the city was captured & cut off by Russians 🇷🇺 This may be the last humanitarian support to make it to the frontline of Bahkmut. Last week our team entered the outskirts of the city under 1km from the frontline on foot to deliver aid to an underground community shelter that sleeps over 100 people & services the local community. GEM Bstrong is able to rapidly respond to disaster

GEM Bstrong is able to rapidly respond to disasters because we are positioned across the world with strategic branches. Our new USA Gem West branch is positioned to serve any major disasters in the Western United States & the pacific.

Since November 2018, Global Empowerment Mission has distributed over $3M in supplies & aid to fire victims in surrounding communities in the region.

On January 14th 2023, GEM will distribute over $700,000 in supplies as part of our phase 3 long term recovery commitment to fire survivors at 13700 Skyway, Magalia, California. 11 AM- 5PM.

Supplies include new Dr. Oz mattresses from Malouf Industries & @_augustmission_ . Hollander bedding, and a variety of home goods and small appliances from our partners, @amazon & @good360usa. Aid for fires also includes tents, medical supplies, humidifiers and diabetic readers. This branch is also supporting the latest earthquake & mudslides in the region. #GemBstrong

GEM has been on the ground operating full time in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake.

In the past 12 years, we have seen it all and perseverance is all that matters. Many groups came to help after the earthquake but not many stayed. Haiti needs us more than ever now. We cannot let the people of Haiti suffer due to its current turmoil.

The children from our tent city in January 2010 are all grown up and some in colleges already. GEM has placed them in private schools this entire time.

Letter from our founder @michaelcapponi. “I wanted to personally thank each and everyone of you that has supported us throughout the years. Before we founded Global Empowerment Mission in 2011, I sat on many boards and worked as a philanthropist from the private sector. I helped raise a lot of funds for many orgs, but I never really understood where or how it was being spent. I saw hundreds of millions of dollars being raised for key disasters, but I also saw that the people on the other end were never getting much of anything. I quickly learned that the dollar versus impact ration was severely off in this sector.

For this reason, we founded GEM to revolutionize and reinvent systems that function more efficiently and fluidly. Our core mission is to have the most IMPACT. In the end, all that matters is what was actually accomplished and not what was raised.

This year Global Empowerment Mission Bstrong responded to disasters around the world, all with the idea to get the most amount of aid to the most amount of people, in the shortest amount of time. Whether it was for Ukraine, Fort Myers, or beyond, the support you have given GEM has allowed for us to make a massive impact everywhere we respond.

Please see our 2022 Global Recap video, which highlights the many missions we did this year, as well as the significant work completed. All of this work is possible due to your continued generosity. Everyday we are proving that we can have more impact with less cost to donors than most other orgs. We are proud to have scored 100% by @charitynav on all 4 categories, (impact, financial, leadership and culture). Our corporate overhead this year has remained under 5%.”

Our entire GEM family would like to personally thank @handlerrich & the @jefferies teams for your invaluable support.

Jefferies initial donation of 1 million dollars allowed us to set up the proper infrastructure needed to respond on a massive scale to the Ukraine crisis back in early March 2022.
Without warehouses and proper systems put in place, we would not have been able to deliver almost 800 truckloads of vital supplies to Ukrainians.

Thank you again for being the seed igniter that helped us help millions of innocent Ukrainian victims to date.

This video shows the smiles and hope that you have put on innocent Ukrainian children in UA and Poland.

Our GEM UA teams took big risks and delivered gifts to children living in eastern villages in active conflict zones. They also brought gifts to the children in schools that we have already repaired. This will also happen on January 6, 2023.

As we await the World Cup today, GEM would like to

As we await the World Cup today, GEM would like to thank the @uafukraine team and foundation for their support to empower students. We started a program where Ukrainian soccer stars come spend the day on the field with them. GEM has already repaired 8 schools in Ukraine.

We organized soccer competitions in the Bucha and Blystavytsia schools and fields we repaired. UA soccer stars Oleh Protasov and Oleksiy Mykhailychenko were amongst the headliners. This gives immense hope and direction to children. This is one of the best therapy’s we have seen.

These children suffered immense circumstances in Bucha. Days like this gives them so much Hope.

We also want to thank all time legend @pele for honoring GEM this year along with @renaldo for our work.

Sneak peek into our Donetsk, Ukraine missions…

This program is in partnership with the Howard G. Buffet Foundation. GEM & HGBF are committed to servicing over 70 towns in or close to the front lines for the winter and longer if needed.

These special customized winter family necessities kits contain approximately 30lbs of vital supplies. The food in these boxes comes from only Ukrainian producers. This supports their economy, it creates jobs and it gives people basic living necessities for two weeks. Also includes blankets, hygiene, feminine care, snacks, hydration etc. In addition, we also have Christmas bags for children during the holidays.
