On July 4th, Kerr County, Texas, was devastated by a catastrophic weather event as months’ worth of rainfall fell in just four hours. The resulting flash floods caused the Guadalupe River to overflow, severely impacting the communities of Hunt and Kerrville.

The Smokehouse Creek Wildfire was Texas’ 2nd largest fire it’s history. Multiple major fires that have burned hundreds of thousands of acres, prompting evacuation orders in several counties. GEM is providing pallets of disaster relief throughout the affected regions to assist all those affected.

Op 26 augustus 2021, laat in de middag, gaf het National Hurricane Center orkaanwaarschuwingen af voor delen van de kust van Louisiana, waaronder New Orleans. Een storm van categorie 4 trof de gemeenschappen waardoor aanzienlijke overstromingen werden gemeld.

Op 13 februari 2021 zaten miljoenen Texanen dagenlang zonder verwarming en elektriciteit toen sneeuw, ijs en ijzige temperaturen een catastrofale storing veroorzaakten in het elektriciteitsnet van de staat.
