Dashama is the founder of Flow State Institute and Bright Future Foundation
and for the past 20 years has been a leader in the wellness industry as an author,
teacher, healer, media creator and inspirational speaker. Her life long career
and passion for healing and wellness was born from the early childhood trauma
she experienced growing up in the foster care system in America and losing her
own mother to alcohol and drug addiction, and eventually a fire that ended her life.
She has dedicated her life to help bring healing and wellness to people from all walks of life including children, CEOs, families, fortune 500 brands, celebrities, homeless people, the US Department of Defense / military spouses and many others. Her primary focus has been on training trauma informed yoga teachers and health coaches, to create an army of healers trained to alleviate the suffering of humanity, one heart and mind at a time.
Her initiative, Children are the Future, which was endorsed by VP Kamala Harris in 2021, has already impacted millions of children in over 10,000 schools in America with the aspiration to alleviate the mental health crisis, through her partnership with the Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Choose Love Movement.
Dashama has impacted over 100 million viewers online with her message of hope,
health, healing and happiness across social media platforms and has been
featured on QVC, ABC, NBC, Discovery, OWN, WSJ, and Vogue etc.
She has been a passionate supporter of GEM since 2014 in a variety of ways ranging from traveling to visit families affected by natural disasters, teaching meditation, yoga and healing practices, to assisting to ensure they have a place to stay or necessary supplies immediately after the disasters strike.
Her passion to heal and unify the world as “one human family” is the basis of her teaching and a primary motivator behind the philanthropic and social impact work she does with GEM and all other endeavors.
