The Park Fire was California’s biggest fire of 2024, and caused extreme devastation throughout Butte, Plumas, Shasta, and Tehama Counties. The fire burned more than the entire size of Los Angeles, destroying hundreds of homes and businesses. The GEM USA West team deployed from our base in Chico, responding to the Park Fire and assisting those who had to evacuate. Distributions took place for residents, supplying an array of supplies from short to longer term necessities.
