Fase 1: Umiddelbar reaktion
The Canadian province of Alberta experienced 122 wildfires in 2024 as of July. As of late, the historic town of Jasper suffered tremendous damage from an out-of-control wildfire, burning over 96,000 acres. Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate, with many uncertain of the state of their community, businesses, and homes. The GEM team joined in efforts on the ground in Alberta, working with local experts, to reach those most affected by the fires and offer financial support.
